iOS Developer
I care about the 1% of details users notice.
01 — Who I Am

Sok Pich
iOS Developer
I got into iOS development because I wanted to build things people actually hold in their hands. Not websites, not dashboards — apps that live on someone's phone, that they open without thinking. That intimacy between software and user is what keeps me sharp.
My day-to-day is SwiftUI and UIKit. I know when to reach for each, and I know how to combine them in the same codebase without it turning into a mess. I care about the things that don't show up in screenshots: scroll performance, state that makes sense, transitions that feel native rather than bolted on.
Over 2+ years I've taken apps from first sketch to App Store. That means I've sat in the gap between a designer's vision and what the platform actually supports — and I've learned to close that gap without compromising either side.
When a project specifically needs cross-platform delivery, I use Flutter. It's not my default, but I'm comfortable with it and I know where the edges are.
Outside of code, I'm drawn to products with strong opinions. The ones where you can tell someone made a decision instead of picking the safe default. That's the standard I try to hold my own work to.

03 — What I'm Looking For
The Right Fit
I'm looking for a product-minded team that ships real iOS apps and cares about quality at the detail level. Remote-friendly — I work well async and I communicate clearly in writing. If you're building something people will actually use every day and you want someone who'll push back on the shortcuts that hurt users, let's talk.

Where I've Worked
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
- Implemented a real-time chat system using WebSocket and Swift Concurrency, featuring automatic reconnection, heartbeat monitoring, message synchronization, and low-latency message delivery.
- Built push-notification infrastructure (FCM) across 2 production apps with deep-linking and user targeting, handling ~300 notifications/day.
- Built a coffee-ordering app with live map-based delivery tracking and real-time order-status sync.
- Automated the full release pipeline with Fastlane (Firebase App Distribution → TestFlight → App Store), reducing release time by ~80% and eliminating manual deploy errors.
- Contributed to international open-source projects, collaborating with developers across multiple countries.
- Expanded cross-platform capability by adopting Flutter for multi-platform mobile development.
- Delivered feature implementations across SwiftUI and UIKit for 2 client-facing applications.
- Integrated REST APIs end-to-end with authentication, JSON decoding, and structured error handling.
- Built production features and resolved bugs under senior developer mentorship.
- Gained foundational expertise in SwiftUI, Git version-control workflows, and agile development practices.
